Playa Del Carmen is located about 45 minutes south of Cancun, Mexico. It has become a popular spot for many foreigners because of its proximity to the U.S. and Canada, white sandy beaches, infrastructure (solid internet is important to most people these days), lots and lots of amazing diverse cuisine, and an international community.
It also has a vibrant yogi and vegan scene if that’s what you are into. But, if that’s not your vibe, then no worries — there’s plenty of other communities and places to find your groove.
Founder of Dream Retirement International, Risa Morimoto, sat down with real estate agent Susana MacDonald to talk all things Playa Del Carmen and why you may want to consider retiring there.
